Lil Wayne denied access to UK for festival performances

Lil Wayne has been denied access to the UK for a festival performance this end of the week, with coordinators supplanting him with Grammy-winning rapper Ludacris without a second to spare.

The 39-year-old rapper was planning to perform at the Strawberries and Creem festival this end of the week at Childerley Orchard in Cambridge. Yet, the coordinators have said that the Home Office has not permitted Wayne into the country.

The news was reported on the festival’s Instagram page, on which they shared an explanation about the upheld main event change.

The assertion read: “Because of outrageous conditions outside our reach or impact, we are extremely sorry to inform you that Lil Wayne is currently unfit to perform at the festival on Saturday eighteenth, June.”

The coordinators proceeded to say they were “profoundly frustrated” with the choice.

The assertion proceeded: “Lil Wayne has been rejected section to the UK straight by the Home Office in the last moment choice.

“We are profoundly frustrated by this unexpected and adverse decision.

“We have gotten exceptionally negligible notification, and the planning of choice is disturbing for all included – including Lil Wayne’s fans and the festival group.”

Coordinators declared the swap for Lil Wayne: “We have gotten Grammy-winning rapper LUDACRIS to play a UK EXCLUSIVE set on Saturday eighteenth June.

“He joins Tion Wayne, Mabel, Wilkinson, exceptional visitors and more on Saturday – with Tems, Knucks, David Rodigan and more on Sunday.

“Furthermore, the group might want to offer ticket holders a free ticket for Sunday nineteenth June, or a markdown on tickets for the following year’s festival.”

The assertion closed: “without any assertion from Lil Wayne, we might want to apologize to every individual who was coming to see him perform at S&C. We anticipate inviting the famous Ludcacris to the stage, all things being equal.”

The shortfall of Lil Wayne has brought a blended reaction from those attending the festival.

One entertainer, President T, encouraged the Home Office to “figure it out” as he said the choice was denying Wayne his “occupation”.

He wrote in the remarks: ” @ukhomeoffice, figure it out lovely people around there, please. The fans and myself needed to see @liltunechi at work in front of an audience working the great group vibez and remember this is his JOB and business.”

Others were not so content with the new title act, with one surprise festival participant remarking: “Ludacris as a swap for Lil Wayne is an insult – individuals just purchased the pass to see Lil Wayne.”

Another expressed: “Discount, please.”

While others were thrilled, with one fan shouting: “LUDAAAAAAAAA. At any rate, yeh I’m invigorated. Distraught circle back! how about we have a good time”.
