Pipe Band hit the appropriate notes at championships

New Ross was a bustling place last Saturday when a sum of 33 pipe bands slipped on the recreation area for the All – Ireland Pipe Band Championships. The All-Ireland Pipe Band Championships is a yearly occasion which shifts back and forth between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The occasion previously occurred in 1946 in Dublin, having been prompted by a Belfast man, Eddie McVeigh – who, on a visit to Dublin – heard a pipe band playing in a lobby simply off Parnell Square.
