The British camping brand Cool Camping has been taken over by an enormous US organization, Hipcamp, which expects to bring its Airbnb-style model of campground booking to the UK. From today, every one of the 25,000 camping pitches and glamping structures on Cool Camping’s site will be recorded instead on Hipcamp. Situated in San Francisco, Hipcamp professes to be the world’s greatest supplier of open-air stays, offering around 50% of 1,000,000 camping areas in the US, Canada and Australia.
