H&M affirms it has rights to Justin Bieber merchandise

Swedish garments retailer H&M said on Thursday it reserved the options to sell Justin Bieber products it removed from stores this week after the star told he had not given his approval.

“Justin’s license holder has affirmed that H&M had the right agreements set up and followed all legitimate endorsement methodology for each chosen plan,” H&M wrote in an explanation.

On Monday, Bieber encouraged his 270 million Instagram followers not to purchase the merchandise, referring to it as “rubbish” and said it was discounted without his endorsement. H&M pulled the things from the deal.

“Keeping in mind Justin, we eliminated the items from our site and stores, and we’re attempting to track down the ideal way to utilize them,” H&M said, adding that the organization had been Bieber’s merchandise accomplice beginning around 2016.

H&M, the world’s second greatest design retailer, offered hoodies, shirts and pullovers with pictures of Bieber or quotes from his verses, for example, “I miss you more than life” from the song “Ghost”.
