Kansas City Chiefs ‘all grins’ in the wake of an overwhelming win against the Arizona Cardinals

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes searched Sunday in the middle of the season structure.

The four-time Pro Bowl quarterback dismantled the Arizona Cardinals safeguard while heading to a 44-21 defeat at State Farm Stadium. Mahomes went 30-of-39 passing, tossed for 360 yards and threw five scores in the triumph.

“The entire offseason, everybody was asking us what this group planned to resemble,” Mahomes said after the success. “We generally accepted we planned to go out there and act.”

The inquiries Mahomes referred to transcendently encompassed Kansas City’s offence and how it would work without the speed and large play capacity of wide beneficiary Tyreek Hill, who moved to the Miami Dolphins in the offseason. If Sunday’s down is any sign, the Chiefs will be okay without Hill.

Mahomes and company demonstrated they were assorted and flexible, with nine distinct players getting passes from the Chief’s beginning quarterback against the Cardinals.

“With how close closures, running backs and recipients we have, it will be everything. It will be a lot of folks getting passes,” Mahomes said. “It will be running the football, tossing it, and it will be a short game and profound passes.

“It makes us a harder offence to stop.”

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had a game-high eight gets for 121 yards and a score. Wide recipient JuJu Smith-Schuster counted six gets for 79 yards. Also, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire created two scores getting out of the backfield. The three drove a fair hostile assault through the Chiefs’ 39 passing and 27 surging endeavours.

“All grins,” Kelce said after the success. “Everybody was out there zooming around.”

Yet, that happiness was practically selective to the opposing group. Numerous Arizona fans made a beeline for the ways out halfway through the second from last quarter, with the game previously chosen.

Following the Chiefs’ association best eight successive season-opening successes, players talked about having something to show for after last year’s frustrating misfortune to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship.

“Who wouldn’t have something to demonstrate after going out how we did,” Edwards-Helaire said.

It wasn’t all offence either from the Chiefs. Kansas City’s protection held Kyler Murray and the Cardinals to only one score in the main half, while the Chiefs offence amassed 488 all-out yards and 33 first downs in the triumph.

It’s not lost on the group that where they started the season Sunday is the site of the current year’s Super Bowl. The Chiefs’ season could complete the cycle, particularly with their objective of all-out mastery.

“I generally have the attitude of going out there and demonstrating that we are the Kansas City Chiefs,” Mahomes said. “We get an opportunity to go out there and bring home the AFC Championship, win the AFC West and win the Super Bowl.”
